Oktoberfest in the Gardens 2011

What an incredible weekend it was, with the picturesque Supreme Court Gardens playing host to an array of German influenced beer, food and entertainment enjoyed by thousands of festival goers. The inaugural Oktoberfest in the Gardens kicked off on Friday, 7 October and was backed up with another awesome day on Sunday, 9 October.  There were over 15 local and imported beers to sample in your commemorative stein and a wide range of traditional German fares were on offer.

Miss Oktoberfest was a real hit with a vast majority of guests dressing up for the occasion. It was probably the most difficult thing to organise on the night and the event MCs from Nova 937 and guest judges Adam Selwood (West Coast Eagles) and Brent Staker (Brisbane Lions) definitely had their work cut out! But seriously ladies… well done!

After a few liquid treats, partygoers flocked towards one of the two stages and enjoyed tunes by the Brow Horn Orchestra, Sons of Rico, The Potbelleez and many more.  Some of Perth’s best talent was also on show with wikid DJ sets rolled out by the likes of Jus Haus?, Micah and Philly Blunt.

If that wasn’t enough, many got involved in the roving entertainment with the fire breathing show proving to be a real flame of excitement.

Bring on Oktoberfest in the Gardens 2012!
